We have a few regular and semi regular features on the podcast. And here's a catalogue of the most popular ones. You can download jingles for them, and find out how to get involved in the interactive ones...
Based around friend of the podcast, Mushybees', gloriously ridiculous impersonation of poet Pam Ayres, and another terrible pun on this famous Australian landmark, this semi regular feature started when listener Mister Wavey sent in a poem. "Pam" read it out for us, and has contributed semi regularly ever since. If you would like to submit a poem for Ayres Rocks, please send us an email here. To download the jingle, go here.
Every week, MIchael asks his twitter followers who they would fuck, if
they had to fuck a thing. The responses are read on the podcast, and we
choose a winner. No one actually wins a prize or anything though, don't
be stupid. Previous "things" to be fucked have included Beatles
songs, chocolate bars, drinks and political parties. If you'd like to
keep up with the latest requests, follow Michael on twitter, here.
Initially started when Michael used questions from interviews
found in decade old magazines and re-directed them at James, this
feature has evolved to see questions coming in from listeners
to the show, usually via the medium of Twitter. If you'd like
to tweet a question in - send it to Michael's
twitter account, you can email
it to us too, but it's probably best doing it via twitter so
James doesn't see it before being asked, thus maintaining an element
of surprise
In many ways the exact opposite of Interview James. Michael can
get a little carried away at times, and needs to be brought back
down to earth with a firm heckle. Again, this is usually provided
via twitter,
or through email. Michael never checks the email
account anyway, so it won't ruin the surprise.
is an idea Michael came up with in Podcast 14, to infultrate other
podcasts / radio shows / any other media with recognisable phrases
from our podcast, or even just the phrase "Precious Little".
Named in honour of former Goodie Bill
Oddie, with an appaling pun on the term 'podcast', the podcast's
official twitter
account took its' name from this feature too, for a while.
So far we have had little success with this, and seem to have abandoned
itt. You can get a jingle here.
We can’t ever tell you what this is. It’s just horrible.
